Hey guys, I really need to get better at posting on this at least once every two days.

Lately I've been so busy with work and the school newspaper that I haven't been on here.

That still isn't an excuse.

How did everyone feel with the interactive assignment? Did anyone run into any major problems?

Does anyone like the program Dreamweaver?

I personally like it and found it fairly simple to use.

Hey guys!

I really liked the assignment we did in class the other day.

I saw some really good looking blogs.

Some of you had a your "about me" section set up, and some had really good layouts. 

It really gave me some ideas to fix my blog a little so it wouldn't be so boring.

I need to change it where it won't be so plain the background and add information so readers know who I am.

Hopefully you guys have some new ideas as well for your own.

Once I add to it, I will post an update!

Infographics

In class last week we learned the steps of making infographics.

They require for the person to do a good amount of research to gather the right information to put on it.

I personally like piktochart, which is the website app that we're using.

Infographics are a great and fun way to get information out to other people.

They're also fun to make. 

Mine is just about done, which I am doing it on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!

What topic did the class choose? 

In class Monday we got the chance to view everyone's cartoon made through xtranormal.

Did anyone have a hard time with theirs?

My favorite was the Harbaugh one.

Me: I am currently a student at Cerritos College and working at a restaurant.

Stranger: That sounds really cool. What are you going to school for?

Me: I am a Journalism major and currently on staff of the school newspaper as the

Sports editor. What about you? What do you do?

Stranger: I’m a nobody, I’m just a bum who lives at home and just plays video games.

Me: Well that sucks, I’m in my last semester at Cerritos College.

Stranger: That’s really cool, tell me more about yourself.

Me: Well I’m planning on transferring to school in Arizona. I want to be a sports writer one day for a major newspaper, or even be on ESPN.

Stranger: Arizona? Isn’t that in the middle of the desert?

Me: It is, but it is not too bad, it is really nice around there. Everything seems very new.

Stranger: Well that’s interesting; I have never been there. I would like to visit one day. Journalism sounds like fun, I like sports and I like talking to people. I think I will get my butt out of bed and start going to school.

Me: It is really fun doing it. What kind of sports do you like?

Stranger: I like everything but basketball and football are my favorite sports.

Me: Awesome! Those are two of my favorite sports too! You really need to get out of your house and explore the world!

Stranger: I think I will, you have inspired me to live my life! Thank you!

Me: You’re welcome, have a good life!

In Tuesday's class we got together to look at each others Storify account.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the site, it just all seems to complicated to me.

It is great to use for the people that like to know how to use it.

Twitter has to be the biggest site we're using, it allows everyone to interact with each other.

Most news is broken first on Twitter nowadays.

Make sure you all keep updating your blogs!

Today In Multimedia Journalism and Reporting, we learned about the website Storify.

Storify allows to put together a news story using sources from Twitter and Facebook.

My group is to do a news write up on the UC and CSU budget reform in California presented by Jerry Brown.

Community Colleges are also being affected, which is an attempt to help the state's economy.

The internet is slowly taking over the world of news. As technology expands, getting news on the go is becoming for convenient.
